Karachi Police South Zone DIG, Asad Raza, took immediate cognizance of the incident and directed the Sahil police station to initiate legal proceedings. Following intensive investigation, the Sahil police managed to apprehend two suspects, identified as Bilal Akhund and Jabbar Khan, while continuing efforts to capture others involved. DIG South, Syed Asad Raza, reiterated the stringent prohibition against such flagrant displays of weaponry, emphasising the necessity for swift law enforcement action. The event in question was orchestrated via WhatsApp invitations, with the ensuing viral videos aiding law enforcement in identifying the perpetrators. In parallel, authorities have reached out to the college administration, urging them to enforce disciplinary measures against students involved in organising the event. Karachi Police reaffirmed their commitment to curbing incidents of aerial firing, emphasising the need to deter such actions that sow fear and endanger public safety.
